Outer half tube reactor

The outer half tube reactor has the characteristics of fast heating and energy saving. Compared with the reactor with a jacket, the spiral outer half tube design can reduce the thickness of the reactor body that can withstand negative pressure and jacket external pressure. The flow rate of steam or heat transfer oil entering the half tube is higher than that of the jacket, reducing scaling on the inner wall, which is conducive to heat conduction and cooling.

The spiral outer half pipe design is not recommended in the environment with thick kettle body and large temperature difference. The outer half pipe is damaged due to the physical characteristics of thermal expansion of the kettle body. Once the welded junction of the half pipe cracks, the chemical unit generally does not allow on-site welding and repair, and it is also not feasible to return to the manufacturer for repair. Its repair workload is large, and the shutdown time will also be long.

09MnNiDR/16MnDR (low temperature steel), 15CrMoR (high temperature steel), stainless steel S30408/S32168/S31603, S39042, titanium, dual phase steel, nickel, Hastelloy, zirconium, Monel, and other materials used for explosive composite plates.
